Born in the Human Engineering and Robotics Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley, SUITX was founded by a team of visionary engineers and scientists: Minerva Pillai, Ph.D., Wayne Tung, Ph.D., Michael McKinley, Ph.D., Logan Van Engelhoven, Ph.D., and Professor Homayoon Kazerooni, one of the leading minds in robotics and mechanical engineering.

In 2021, SUITX joined forces with Ottobock, a German-based global leader with over 100 years of expertise in biomechanics and orthopedics. Together, we’re shaping the future of work — creating ergonomic, lightweight exoskeletons that prevent musculoskeletal disorders and redefine how people move, lift, and perform.

With Ottobock’s international network spanning more than 35 countries, SUITX combines breakthrough engineering with global reach, ensuring innovative solutions get to the people who need them most.
